Market flat but online browsing soars

Despite a widely reported slump in the property market Fairfax Media’s real estate site Domain.com.au (Domain) has recorded its best ever month.

During May an additional half a million browsers visited its site resulting in a total of more than 3.8 million browsers, the highest figure since the site launched in 1999.

Domain has continued to develop momentum in the real estate website market, following the launch of its three mobile apps, Fairfax Media key categories general manager Tony Blamey said.

“The mobile industry is changing at a rapid pace,” he said.

“The company’s capacity to keep pace with these changes and offer clients the very latest mobile technology has helped further reinforce our position as a preferred website of choice for the real estate industry.”
