Real Estate Business publisher wins top award

The outstanding success of Real Estate Business has helped Sterling Publishing secure the prestigious accolade of Small Publisher of the Year at the Publishers Australia Excellence Award.

More than 500 professionals from across the publishing industry gathered for the 15th annual awards, hosted at Doltone House on Friday.

This prestigious event attracted over 300 entries and some of the biggest brands in publishing. Other award winners included titles such as GQ magazine, marie claire, Vouge, madison, Wheels and FouFourTwo.

Real Estate Business was first launched as an online publication in 2009 delivering the first daily news portal to the real estate industry.

The print magazine first hit desks in May 2011 and its circulation has grown rapidly in just a few months.

More than 10,500 senior real estate professionals now subscribe to the monthly magazine – and that number is growing.

Real Estate Business is now also eligible for its first CAB audit and will submit its distribution figures for the October-March period.

Publisher Alex Whitlock said that Real Estate Business has been one of the most successful magazine launches of his career.

“This title has really struck a chord with an industry that is changing at great pace. We’re less than a year old but we are already widely read across the industry.

“We have an outstanding team across the board.

Real Estate Business is still a relatively young title and I believe that it is our fresh approach to publishing that has been so successful.

“Our primary focus is our readers and this has been at the heart of everything we have done since day one,” Mr Whitlock said.
