Keller Williams (KW), the second largest real estate group in the US, has denied a claim that it has opened an office in Australia although it's "always looking at opportunities", the company said today.

The company made the comments in response to a claim by The Professionals' CEO Glyn Morgan that KW had already opened a "beachhead office" in Adelaide, and would soon start to roll out franchises across the country.

"Keller Williams Realty has not established an office in Adelaide and isn’t planning to at this time," a KW spokesperson told Real Estate Business today.

"Although we don’t currently have any offices in Australia, we are always looking at opportunities for the future."

KW, which has 80,000 agents and 690 offices, largely operates in the US and Canada. Recently however, it has formed Keller Williams Worldwide as a means of driving its international expansion.

In a March 2011 statement, the company announced plans to grow the Worldwide division by an additional 75,000 associates in 10 years.

“Our goals are to expand the Keller Williams Realty model – with the focus on training and our sound business models," said Chris Heller, president of KW Worldwide.
