Richardson & Wrench has formed a partnership with the Starlight Foundation which will include raising money via the sale of properties listed between September and November this year.
“The Starlight Foundation does an incredible job in the community and if we can assist them in their mission, we will all be richer for the experience,” said Richardson & Wrench executive director, Andrew Cocks.
“Our network has a strong sense of community obligation, with most offices getting behind local schools, sporting groups and a great variety of charities. However, by building a partnership with the Starlight Foundation at a corporate level we see an opportunity to reach out on a far greater scale.”
The real estate group said that Richardson & Wrench franchise manager Jennifer Williamson had been instrumental in developing the relationship with the Starlight Foundation.
“What Starlight does for these children is absolutely inspiring,” said Ms Williamson. “Several of our offices have been closely involved with the Starlight Foundation for many years so we have seen firsthand how their focus on the child produces results.
“From a corporate perspective we see this as an opportunity to increase staff engagement and to help spread the word about the good work of the Starlight Foundation.”
The sponsorship agreement provides for offices to hold a fundraising event in the month of May and to make a donation from the sale of each property listed on the market during September 1 to November 30.
In addition Richardson & Wrench representatives will be encouraged to take part in Starlight Jumpstart as a walker or runner in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival in Sydney or the Bridge to Brisbane.
Eastern Suburbs offices participated in the Sydney run last year, raising more than $8,000.
In return for supporting the Starlight Foundation, Richardson & Wrench said its offices will have full access to the Starlight logo for use on communication and advertising material including the website, property guide, local newspapers, signboards, auction slides and in sales literature.
