A leading Victorian real estate agency has taken an existing technology to the next level, allowing buyers to attend any listing anywhere by simply switching on their smartphones.
Hockingstuart continues to pioneer the way home buyers view listings with the rollout of VR headsets at open for inspections across its network.
Launched at Channel Nine’s The Block public open for inspection in October, the niche network's initiative is providing home buyers with take-home VR headsets to simplify the buying process.
Using panorama technology via hockingstuart’s website, buyers can view their next home anywhere at any time using the headsets and their smartphone.
CEO of hockingstuart Simon Jovanovic said that the network was continuing to streamline and improve the house-hunting journey by implementing the technology.
“The amount of time that goes into researching, and then attending an open for inspection, can be quite substantial,” the CEO said.
“We live in a busy world, so we’re conscious that those with busy schedules can find it hard to juggle house hunting with other commitments.”
Mr Jovanovic said that having the option to view a potential home at any time will help streamline the decision process.
“For example, if you missed a small detail at the open for inspection, the headsets will allow you to immediately check back at any time.
“Friends and family can also experience the home and provide you with a second opinion without having to go to the property.”
He also said that there is “immense” benefit for vendors, too.
“Potential buyers can engage with the property on an entirely different level, one that extends beyond face-to-face open for inspections particularly when they are time-limited.”
Hockingstuart’s VR headsets are the latest in a string of DIAKRIT tools to be rolled out across the network this year.
Earlier initiatives include a platform that allows potential buyers to digitally furnish the home and one that uses drone imagery to showcase listings.
