New partnership to boost agent commissions

Agents have been given a chance to earn more commissions after an industry-owned home connections service partnered with a comparison website.

YourPorter, which was launched in 2014 by Barry Plant and Hockingstuart, has partnered with iSelect to offer home movers a tailored comparison of power, gas, internet and insurance options.

Agents earn commissions for referring business to YourPorter, while agencies other than Barry Plant and Hockingstuart are able to take out equity in YourPorter.

YourPorter general manager Tony Zarka said the iSelect partnership will give home movers more options and better prices.

“For real estate agents, this means a higher take-up of services, resulting in higher upfront commission and annual distributions to agencies,” Mr Zarka said.

Angela Tangas, iSelect group executive for energy and telco, said home movers need to transfer a range of services when they relocate.

“Too often the stress of moving means customers simply don't have time to shop around and find the best deal. The YourPorter and iSelect partnership will give them convenience and comparison in one easy phone call,” she said.
