Australia’s best reveal their sales secrets

29 July 2016 Tim Neary

The top real estate agents across the country will give up their innermost sales secrets when REB’s Secrets of the Top 100 visits Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in August and September.

Three of the main stars are Sydney’s Alexander Phillips, currently ranked Australia’s number one agent, Melbourne’s Marcus Chiminello, ranked fifth, and Sam Guo, the nation’s 77th-ranked agent, from the Gold Coast.

Operating from Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Mr Phillips averages annual sales of between $300 and $400 million. He has a long list of repeat clients, all of whom endorse his talent for selling property, from modest $650,000 homes to multimillion-dollar mansions.

For the past three years his listings have averaged just 19 days on market – less than half of the Sydney average.

Mr Chiminello, a company director since 2010, sells in excess of $200 million of Melbourne’s finest property every year. He specialises in prestige homes and luxury developments, leaning on his strong passion for architecture and building design.

Mr Guo’s name is synonymous with the Gold Coast’s prestige real estate market. Together with partner Julia Kuo he has achieved over $600 million in annual sales, focusing on high-end homes around Sorrento, Isle of Capri, Benowa Waters, Paradise Waters and Clear Island Waters.

The three will complement a broader group of decorated speakers at the highly acclaimed event, now in its second year.

Attendees will get unprecedented insights into the success strategies of the industry’s elite, including how to build brand, create an ‘attraction’ environment as well as generate more listings and sales to significantly accelerate their volumes.

Secrets of the Top 100 will be in Melbourne on 23 August, Sydney on 30 August and in Brisbane on 6 September.
