Sending administration tasks overseas has delivered a shock benefit for one property management business.
Liberty Management principal Kevin Knight said his staff were forced to improve their performance when he first started outsourcing PM processes to India.
“Their detail is as good as the top people in our office. We actually had to come up to their level,” he said.
Mr Knight, who will be speaking at the LPMA reGenerate conference in April at the Gold Coast, said he outsources almost all his administrative tasks.
“Whether it is listing properties to market them for rent, whether it is sending renewal notices to tenants, sending update letters to owners, posting things to our property management software - if it can be done on a computer, they can do it,” he said.
“Probably one of the key benefits is it frees up our staff to focus on the core activities, which keeps our clients and customers happy.”
Mr Knight, who is based in Texas, said everything Liberty Management needs processed is put through Dropbox or its property management software.
“While we are sleeping they are getting all of our work done,” he said.
“Before we even have our first cup of coffee in the morning, everything we stacked up during the day is done.”
