McGrath Estate Agents founder and executive director John McGrath has praised the achievement of one of his top-performing agents, saying: “In my 35 years of being in real estate, this is unarguably the most deserved accolade for not only one of the finest agents I've ever witnessed but also one of the nicest people I've met in my life.”
His generous praise is for REB Top 100 ranked agent, Peter Chauncy, on the occasion of his winning the prestigious Real Estate Institute of New South Wales Residential Salesperson of the Year award for 2017.
This is the third time Mr Chauncy, from McGrath Crows Nest in Sydney, has been acknowledged by the REINSW. In 2006 he was awarded the Residential Sales Achievement Award and in 2014 the Residential Salesperson of the Year.
Mr McGrath said he is a standout performer.
“With 72 per cent market share and having sold 9 of the ten best homes in his market last year, such an award is a befitting honour for a remarkable young man.”
McGrath chief executive Cameron Judson echoed Mr McGrath’s sentiment.
“Peter is truly an outstanding sales agent,” said Mr Judson.
“This award is a reflection of his hard work, dedication and commitment to continually providing outstanding service to his clients.”
Mr Chauncy said it was a “huge honour” and “a privilege” to be recognised by the REINSW for the third time.
The award caps off an extremely successful year for Mr Chauncy. Not only was he identified as one of the best salespeople in the industry by finishing in the top ten of the annual REB Top 100 Agents ranking for 2017, but also as principal of McGrath Crows Nest he played a pivotal role in the offices’ win for Overall Office Excellence (Metro) at the 2017 McGrath Awards.
Mr Chauncy specialises in selling properties in Sydney’s lower north shore suburbs of Naremburn and Crows Nest. He set a new benchmark for Naremburn this year with a sale of over $4.2 million - the suburbs’ first over $4 million.
