The opening of a new display space will kill off the traditional display home and allow for greater choices for first home buyers.

Leading property developer Resimax Group has launched a new housing brand, Tick Homes, and with it a new way of selling property.

Tick Space by Tick Homes will bring all the elements of the home building process under one roof in what is being described by the company as “Apple meets IKEA”.

Resimax Group CEO Steve Hooker said that first home buyers were frustrated by spending weekends involved in paperwork and running around town to see houses.

“Weekend after weekend spent in the car driving around to dozens of land estates, decrypting which homes will be approved for construction on particular lots, endless spreadsheets comparing the inclusions of the various builders, all the while trying to find a solution that will fit into an already stretched budget. It’s exhausting and confusing,” Mr Hooker said.

That is where Tick Space will come in — by providing a space where first home buyers can choose, style, sign and seal their new home.

Features of Tick Space include a virtual tour of land estates, a collection of Tick Home floor plans, a one-to-one cinema to experience the home dimensions and layouts and more.

Mr Hooker explained that by having the homes all under one roof, it eliminates the need for costly display homes.

“And unlike display homes that are typically oversized and have all the bells and whistles — which aren’t really attainable for first home buyers — our one-to-one cinema gives people a real understanding of what they’ll get.

“It all ties back to our promise of being honest and cutting the BS for first home buyers — what you see is what you get.”

Tick Space will also have financial experts and home advisers to help talk potential buyers through every step of the process.

“Ultimately, Tick Space is there to help first home buyers through what can be one of the most stressful times of their life. The experience and end-to-end service we provide sets their mind at ease and puts their best foot forward in starting an exciting new chapter as a home owner,” Mr Hooker said.
