One well-recognised former pro sportsman and RE/MAX agent is taking his career to the next level by opening his own agency on the Gold Coast.

Danny Woolbank is opening an office, RE/MAX Property Centre, at Broadbeach Waters on the Gold Coast in May.

Mr Woolbank has lived on the Gold Coast since 1985 and is well known to many through his professional squash career and family business, the Southport Squash Centre.

Mr Woolbank said that a love of real estate fuelled a career change, but now, with more than 14 years of real estate industry experience behind him, he is excited about moving into ownership.

“It’s like a parallel to when I was a professional athlete and chose to buy, build and operate a successful squash business,” he said.

“After working for one boss and good friend over the past 11 years, it is time again to take control, and this time in the real estate industry. I want to build a team that has the same ethos as me and values a professional culture of sharing and supporting. It’s the challenge I’m ready for, and with the RE/MAX brand, I have the massive benefits of a leading global network, but I can do it my way.”

Mr Woolbank said that he was pleased to be partnering with the RE/MAX group.

“RE/MAX Australia was undoubtedly the best fit when it came to network choice, with its culture being one of encouraging individual initiatives while supporting owners and agents to grow their own business.

“Our focus will be on the value we give our customers, knowing that leads to business growth, and our goal is to provide the ultimate real estate experience on the basis of building strong, trusting relationships. I am looking forward to working with the team and being innovative in our dynamic industry.”

Mr Woolbank will be joined by residential sales specialist KB Seo and administrator Cassie Owen.

RE/MAX Australia franchise director Joel Davoren said that he was pleased to welcome Mr Woolbank as a RE/MAX broker owner.

“Opening RE/MAX Property Centre presented an exciting business opportunity for Danny and for our network, and RE/MAX is fortunate to welcome him.

“Danny is a talented sales agent with strong leadership qualities and business acumen, and he will build a productive team that is clearly focused on its customers.”
