Two real estate agencies that have been operating in Victoria have merged into one entity, strengthening their foothold within the region.
The agencies, Barry Plant Sunbury and First National Real Estate L.J. Whorlow, have merged and will now operate under the Barry Plant Sunbury banner.
Barry Plant is a successful real estate franchise, with close to 80 offices in metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas, regional Victoria and in Adelaide.
As per the terms of the deal, Barry Plant Sunbury directors Maria Page and Simon Best will continue leading the helm.
First National Real Estate L.J. Whorlow director Sharon Whorlow will continue on as a development consultant within the newly combined entity.
According to Mr Best, the amalgamation is a “strategic move” that will make the merged entity “one of the most prolific and notable real estate agencies” in the Sunbury area of Victoria.
“The two agencies have achieved exceptional results over many years, and both continue to enjoy enviable reputations in the property industry,” he said.
“This newly merged entity will continue offering first-class customer service and decades of combined real estate expertise.”
Mr Best also mentioned that the merging of the two offices will present many opportunities in their local market.
“Maria and I are both excited at the potential this new coalition has to create an exceptional real estate offering in Sunbury and the surrounding areas,” he said.
“We share the same ethos as First National Real Estate L.J. Whorlow when it comes to delivering first-rate customer service and only working with deeply knowledgeable and hard-working real estate people. This alliance seems like the perfect match and we cannot wait to start this new chapter.”
Late last year, First National JXRE merged with a major Clayton franchise to create a sales and property management “superpower” in the south-eastern Melbourne suburb.
The franchise became First National Real Estate Clayton, with principal Jason Xi saying that the move was of “great strategic value”.
“My three-year-old vision is to unite the two teams as a superpower to deliver a business that offers property development, project marketing, sales and property management services,” Mr Xi said previously.
