Search tool helps buyers locate ‘perfection’

23 September 2009 Reporter

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Domain.com.au have today unveiled the first online property search tool that enables house hunters and renters to locate a property based on its proximity to community amenities, facilities and services.

House hunters will also have the option to nominate the property features which are most 'important' or simply 'nice to have'. This includes an ensuite, security parking, internal laundry, or polished floor boards.

The property search tool, Radar, also gives each property a star rating between zero to five stars according to how closely it matches the users' ideal property features and lifestyle.

John Brand, Domain general manager of key categories, said the search tool would provide real estate agents with highly qualified leads and a unique insight into the way-of-life wish-list, which underpins Australians property purchases.

The search tool not only helps buyers find their ideal property, but according to Mr Brand, it also helps home buyers calculate a home loan and repayment scenario – allowing them to assess whether it is in fact the 'perfect' home.
