Virginia Judge seems to have forgotten, (probably too young) what happened when the smartest treasurer in the world, Mr Keating, decided to remove tax initiatives/depreciation etc, on investment properties. The market collapsed overnight. The investors sold [their properties] and the housing/rental market went into a tailspin. The smartest treasurer had to reinstate, the tax benefits to stabilise the market. These socialistic Buffoons...never learn!!! Murray McKnight

What a total waste of time, money and energy. This comes from an agent who has been in the industry for almost 12 years working in one of the most regulated real estate states in Australia –Victoria. A new industry has [been] developed for Engineers and Consultants to establish efficiency factors for Electricity, Heating, Cooling etc. When I was [in the United Kingdom] in 2007 I did wonder if this would catch on and it appears to have done so. Paul Brady

I feel harsh penalties such as life bans for rogue agents is the key to dealing with these agents. I feel this deals with the problem, instead of penalising the good agents with very costly and in my opinion time wasting red tape. Nathan Cardow
