Braving the Bridge to Brisbane for charity

A group of members of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) will be giving up their sleep on Father’s Day and putting on their running gear for a good cause.

The REIQ team will be tackling the 10km Bridge to Brisbane run in order to raise funds for the institute’s charity partner, The Smith Family. They are aiming to raise a total of $20,000 to improve educational standards for children in Queensland.

The 40-member team consists of REIQ chairman Pamela Bennet, board members, agency members, REIQ staff and their families.

Ms Bennet stated that the REIQ was first established to improve the educational standards of real estate agents and that education was still at the heart of what the REIQ does. She said that The Smith Family also recognised the importance of education in providing better futures for young people in need.

“Our aim is to support as many young Queenslanders in need as possible because every child deserves a chance for a better future” she said.

The Bridge to Brisbane is on 1 September and starts around 6am. To donate to team REIQ, please click HERE.
