An independent real estate agency based in Brisbane has been named Australia’s best negotiator at the 2013 Principal Advance Productivity Awards in Bali last week.

First Residential received the award at the annual awards, which recognises top performing principals for excellence in sales, property management and marketing.

Principal of First Residential Angelo Efstathis said to be recognised as the top negotiating agency across Australia alongside such a high calibre of competitors was a major achievement and an award he was humbled to receive.

“We are so proud of this award and to be ranked among the top agencies across Australia. There are some big performers on this list and to be recognised as a major player is a great achievement,” he said.

“We joined the Real Estate Results Network last year and I believe this has been a driving force behind developing our negotiating skills.

“By joining the network, we can ensure that through rigorous training and mentoring, we don’t 'practice' on our clients."

Mr Efstathis added that the awards did not just recognise individual achievements, but those of the entire First Residential team.

“We are always striving to be better, to do better and I believe it’s this passion and determination that has us performing ahead of the rest,” said Mr Efstathis.

Real estate industry leader and CEO of the Real Estate Results Network Michael Sheargold said the achievements of First Residential in the current market conditions were no mean feat.

“First Residential really is an industry leader who always goes above and beyond their competitors to ensure they get the best results for their clients,” he said.

“Top negotiating skills between purchasers and vendors can make a major difference in the volume of sales and the sale price result.

“It is one of the most important skills to have in the real estate industry. To shine in the current market conditions, you must excel in this area.”
