Property portal supports national awards

One of the country’s newest online property search portals has thrown its support behind the industry’s only national awards.

With thousands of real estate offices, from networks and independent agencies, aligning with the brand, has announced its sponsorship of the 2014 Real Estate Business Awards.

Co-founder and CEO of Jason Spencer said he was proud to be supporting the premier benchmarking initiative for quality and recognition in the Australian real estate industry.

“Since launching in December we have been delighted with the industry’s response to Homely - over 3,000 offices are now on board. Our partnership in the Real Estate Business Awards gives us a chance to honour the industry’s top achievers, and we are delighted to be involved in the industry's only all-encompassing national awards,” he said.

The news comes as Homely announces yet another major franchise joining its ranks.

Laing+Simmons' 43 offices will be joining the site, according to general manager Leanne Pilkington.

“Aligning ourselves with Homely demonstrates a step forward in the way people will search for properties and agents. We have a strong focus on user experience and this was a sentiment shared by Homely," she said.

"We strongly believe they are helping shape the future of real estate.”

The 2014 awards will take place on Thursday 17 July at The Star, Sydney. More information is available at
