Judging Process

Real Estate Business has developed a robust methodology that leverages its distribution capabilities and strong industry networks.

STAGE 1:Any individual or group wishing to enter the 2017 REB Awards is asked to complete a detailed submission answering the key criteria items. To download the submission documents which include submissions instructions and key criteria for each category click here.

STAGE 2: All submissions must be received through the eAwards Portal by 5.30pm on Friday 28 April 2017.

STAGE 3:Finalists are announced; individuals and groups will be contacted directly as well as published on the Real Estate Business Awards website. Finalists announced week of 15 May 2017.

STAGE 4:Submissions will be delivered to a panel of respected industry professionals and business leaders who will assess each submission. Judges will score each submission across a range of criteria, which can be found under each category description.

STAGE 5: As part of the assessment process, certain categories will require a panel interview with judges. Finalists will be contacted directly with full requirements. If you are required to attend an interview you will be notified.

STAGE 6: One winner will be announced per award category, with the awards presented at the awards dinner on Thursday 6 July 2017 at ICC, Sydney.

  • Clearly address the question(s) in the category 
  • Tell a story - remember the judges are not aware of your day -to -day challenges and why you believe you deserve the award, so provide a narrative and explain things, and - make the reading enjoyable
  • Provide a case study or example of a problem/situation and how you provided a solution
  • Provide additional documentation to reinforce your entry - this can be client feedback, financial reports, news articles etc and make sure it is relevant to your submission
