The best in the business: Australian Buyers Agent Awards finalists unveiled

The finalists for the inaugural Australian Buyers Agent Awards have been revealed, celebrating those individuals and businesses redefining Australia’s fast-growing buyer’s agency sector.

Buyer’s agents have become an increasingly influential force in the property market as more Australians turn to expert representation to navigate complex purchasing decisions and secure high-quality assets.

Launched by Real Estate Business and Smart Property Investment, the Australian Buyers Agent Awards program recognises the professionals setting new benchmarks in strategic property acquisition. client service, due diligence and negotiation.

 
 

In its first year, the program attracted submissions from across the country, with 187 finalists selected across 27 categories.

The individual categories celebrate those professionals leading the pack across residential, commercial, and prestige property, while group categories also extend to those agencies and PropTech providers redefining property investment.

Finalists span a broad cross-section of the industry, from boutique operators and emerging businesses through to established agencies, reflecting the depth and maturity of the buyer’s agency profession nationwide.

The winners will be announced at a black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 23 April 2026, at Doltone House, Hyde Park in Sydney.

The inaugural awards program is being delivered with the support of principal partner BuySecure.

BuySecure founder Ian Perkins said buyer’s agents bring balance to a seller-driven process and have become one of real estate’s fastest-growing sectors as more Australians see the value of expert support when purchasing property.

How winners will be chosen

The Australian Buyers Agent Awards, in conjunction with event stakeholders Real Estate Business, Smart Property Investment, and Momentum Media, incorporates a rigorous methodology to assess and benchmark Australia’s leading buyer’s agents and agencies.

All submissions undergo an initial audit process, ensuring eligibility against category criteria and validating the information provided.

Finalist submissions are subsequently assessed by a panel of respected industry professionals and business leaders, who evaluate each entry against the specific criteria for each award.

Each submission is scored across multiple criteria, with judges providing independent assessments to produce a combined, aggregated score.

The highest-scoring submission in each category is named the winner.
