New buyer’s agency to put traditional service on its head

A brand-new commercial buyer’s agency is already making waves – as it aims to boost the levels of service given to commercial buyers on Australia’s east coast.

The Grant Group aims “to resolve the lack of servicing for commercial buyers across Australia”, according to founder Stephen Grant.

Bringing seven years of experience within international commercial agencies into the new business, Mr Grant has played a role in more than $500 million worth of transactions across commercial, industrial, land, and residential.

Touting the business’ ability to “bypass the traditional route completely” for buyers, Mr Grant credits the implementation of a “three-pillar search strategy” as instrumental for client success.

“I found commercial buyers were either missing out on a lot of off-market opportunities or couldn’t open the right doors, until now,” he continued.

Highlighting the group’s mission as to “source what buyers can’t access themselves”, Mr Grant said they “have the relationships to source stock before the market sees it”.

He acknowledges that today’s constantly evolving commercial market means “the process of buying commercial property has become increasingly harder – the fact is, finding suitable properties across all sectors is challenging and competition between buyers is at an all time high for developers and passive investors”.

But that evolving marketplace hasn’t dimmed The Grant Group’s achievements within its first month of operation, having already closed close to $30 million for investors – covering office, industrial and residential.

Among those deals have been a $17 million, 12,700-square metre block of industrial land in Melbourne’s South Oakleigh for a Sydney-based client and the acquisition of a $9.8 million Crows Nest property ahead of its scheduled February open-market launch.
