Cushman & Wakefield’s new commercial real estate division in Adelaide has nabbed three of the city’s experts in the sector.
Jed Harley and Hamish Crouch, who join from JLL, and Jay Nash, formerly of Colliers, have added their expertise to the international brand’s new team in South Australia, capitalising on the rising interest for commercial property in the city capital.
Mr Harley, who has over 12 years of experience in the local market, will spearhead the investment sales business. Mr Crouch and Mr Nash, with 20 years between them, will drive the company’s industrial efforts.
Simon Fenn, managing director CRE ANZ at Cushman & Wakefield, said building a strong commercial presence in Adelaide had become a company priority.
“Commercial sales, industrial and logistics are a key focus for our clients nationally, so a strong presence to service the South Australia market is imperative,” he said.
“The Australian business has strategically sought to hire a boutique team of industry leading commercial agents, as we actively grow our local presence.”
Mr Harley said that Adelaide had always offered an attractive value proposition for national and international investors but noted that interest in the location had recently stepped up.
“Its outperformance during the pandemic and the fact it now has some genuine economic drivers has solidified its tenure,” he said.
“Adelaide is now considered a mature and alternative decision to Sydney and Melbourne and is forecast to have another record year of major transactions as borders open up and more new capital enters the market from interstate and Asia.
“I am excited to be joining the global powerhouse that is Cushman & Wakefield and am eager to see what our new team achieves this year.”
