The seasonal slowdown did not stop Raine & Horne from ramping up its commercial activities, as it launched a new office in a rapidly expanding region in Sydney’s south-west.

The national real estate firm shared the opening of a new outfit in Ingleburn, located in the Greater Macarthur region and led by Farha Diba.

Described by the network as a “young gun” sales agent, Ms Diba began her career in sales with a multinational digital communications technology giant Cisco in 2019.

Angus Raine, the executive chairman of Raine & Horne, believes that Ms Diba’s “unparalleled” attention to detail makes her a fitting choice to lead the office that will offer an “industry-first” suite of real estate services in the Ingleburn and Glenfield markets.

“Her approach to every real estate transaction involves always listening to the vendor or buyer so that she understands their needs and wants, and she never assumes to know what is correct for them,” he stated.

Ms Diba expressed her excitement about building and launching a business under the Raine & Horne banner.

“There is so much you can do as a small and mid-size enterprise (SME) owner. As a Raine & Horne principal, I can do so much more towards building a successful business,” she stated.

She also acknowledged that becoming your own boss does not come without hardships.

“Business ownership is hard work, and you don’t always get immediate satisfaction. But I wouldn’t swap this opportunity for anything,” Ms Diba remarked.

While the recent rate hikes have affected her trade area, Ms Diba remains optimistic that demand won’t die down anytime soon, stating that “people who still need to transact due to a change of job, an expanding family or a decision to downsize are still turning up to open homes”.

Adding to her positive outlook is the NSW government’s decision to name Greater Macarthur as a growth area — which she believes will significantly impact the region’s economy, infrastructure, and employment growth.

“A strong economy, jobs growth and a significant commitment to new infrastructure improvements will support community growth and real estate values,” she said.

The new outfit leader also cited that the area is set to benefit from the NSW government’s recent announcement that a new east-west transport link was identified for the Greater Macarthur area, which would connect Appin Road, Gilead, with Menangle Road at Menangle Park.

“Throw in the fact that suburbs such as Ingleburn still offer excellent affordability with three-bedroom houses available from $860,000, and long-term annualised growth of 5 to 10 per cent is possible,” Ms Diba concluded.
