An internal promotion has seen a senior research analyst join the capital markets team at Cushman & Wakefield.

Following on from the establishment of the team, Cushman & Wakefield has named Zaahen Kahn to the analyst role, following three years of local market research.

Ben Younger, the joint head of capital markets Western Australia at Cushman & Wakefield, said, “Zaahen’s ability and knowledge, having researched the WA market for the past three years, will provide invaluable insights for our clients who require consistent real-time data on the dynamic Perth market.”

He also referenced the recent development of the team, stating how Mr Kahn’s alignment with the group “is a sign of the positive growth trajectory our Capital Markets team in WA is enjoying, off the back of recent major appointments from some of Australia’s largest institutional investors.”

Nick Charlton, Mr Younger’s joint head of capital markets WA, said that since coming into the business, the team had identified “the need to continue to meet our clients’ demand.”

“Zaahen has been instrumental in the collation of research and analytics, overseeing our market-leading database, and his promotion is in recognition of his hard work and dedication,” he shared.

In conclusion, Mr Younger said: “We look set to continue to grow market share as a key part of our leading National Capital Markets team led by Josh Cullen, Nick Rathgeber and Leigh Melbourne.”

It’s the latest in a string of appointments from the commercial real estate group.

Just last month, the firm revealed it had nabbed a new team of industrial operators, also in Western Australia.

That had followed the appointment of two new APAC sustainability leaders, as well as the addition of two new directors on the east coast in the industrial and logistics divisions.
