The commercial agency has appointed a new national head of leasing, lauding the return of the “highly regarded market leader” to the business.

Sam Fogarty comes back to the brand as their national head of leasing, following on from his three-year stint with Melbourne’s Pace Development Group.

According to Burgess Rawson, the time that Mr Fogarty spent with the private development outfit saw him gain valuable knowledge learning the back end on how developments meet feasibility and stack up commercially.

He was also reportedly instrumental in the project delivery of numerous landmark assets, including Featherbrook Shopping Centre for Central Equity and Pace of Blackburn for Pace Development Group.

The agency said it’s a learning curve “most agents have never been exposed to”, highlighting that his return comes as the group ramps up expansion in the “profitable” leasing market.

Burgess Rawson’s CEO weighed in on Mr Fogarty’s return, expressing she was “thrilled” to be able to make the announcement.

She commented: “Sam is a highly regarded market leader in the industry, negotiating lease deals across diverse asset categories such as retail, office, early education, convenience retail and restaurants to handling the intricacies of acquisition, town planning, feasibility and successful project delivery.”

“He rejoins us at an exciting time when the agency is enjoying rapid expansion across the eastern seaboard.”

Burgess Rawson also shared that in the past, Mr Fogarty experienced huge success as a highly skilled professional inline skater. The now-executive was then based in the US during his inline skating career, and was named overall world champion on the ASA ProTour for four times and crowned gold medallist in the ESPN X Games.
