The group has revealed its appointment of a new chief financial officer.

Anastasia Clarke will commence with the group in February of next year (2024), and in the same vein, has also been announced as joining the Charter Hall executive committee.

It follows the resignation of Russell Proutt, who Charter Hall had noted as moving on to pursue other opportunities.

For Ms Clarke, the new role follows her recent resignation as chief financial officer over at GPT Group.

Weighing in on the alignment of Ms Clarke, Charter Hall managing director and group chief executive officer David Harrison said: “We welcome Anastasia to Charter Hall as group CFO and to our deeply experienced executive committee.”

“With a long history of 25 years within the property industry holding positions at Lendlease, Dexus and most recently GPT, we look forward to Anastasia joining our group and adding considerable value in her new role,” he commented.

Charter Hall has praised Ms Clarke’s “deep understanding of all aspects of real estate”, which supports her appointment and encompasses her experience across listed corporations, funds management, investment, asset management, development and construction.

A current board director at the Property Council of Australia, Charter Hall has also acknowledged her position as a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW).

Holding a Bachelor of Accounting with Distinction from the University of Technology, Sydney, and having completed the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme, her new company has also lauded her previous work as a member of the Western Sydney University Audit & Risk Committee, and noted her position as both a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA).
