McKay himself said: “It’s an exciting time to be moving into the MD role as we continue our growth into new sectors and services, building upon the strong legacy established by Scott.”

With a senior executive MBA from the Melbourne Business School and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with honours from the university, McKay has been lauded by Martin Hinge, the executive managing director of PDS Asia Pacific, who pointed out the work done by McKay in securing more than $600 million of project work under the Victorian government’s new schools and upgrade program.

He commented: “Alan’s exceptional contribution as state manager for PDS Victoria since 2016 has been outstanding, achieving an impressive fivefold increase in the performance of the business during his tenure.”

“This has cemented the PDS business as the state’s biggest project management firm and has now given us the opportunity to put a very high calibre executive into the lead role for Australia and New Zealand, one of our key markets globally,” Hinge continued.

The outgoing Australia and New Zealand managing director Scott McCrossin himself assuming a new role as executive director, PDS Australia and New Zealand.

McCrossin was also lauded by Hinge, who said: “Over the past seven years, under Scott’s leadership, our PDS business in Australia in particular has experienced tremendous growth, expanding the scope of projects and service offerings and opening new markets.”

McCrossin is set to continue working on local and regional strategic initiatives and chairing the Work Dynamics Board for Australia and New Zealand.
