The former head of institutional capital at MA Financial has been named into the Australia/New Zealand role.
Mike Pyke, a former premiership winning Australian rules footballer with the Sydney Swans, has been revealed as JLL’s new co-head of equity advisory in Australia and New Zealand.
He’ll work alongside long-term leader Luke Prokuda, who he shares the co-head title with, “to further strengthen the expertise and capability” of the firm’s equity advisory team.
According to Prokuda, “by joining the team, Mike will not only strengthen our strategic capital solutions in the Australia and New Zealand markets but also enhance our existing capabilities of the team”.
Most recently, Pyke was the head of institutional capital for MA Financial’s (formerly Moelis) asset management business. Prior to that, he spent six years in the group’s investment banking business and in the corporate executive group.
He also boasts a master of commerce (finance major) from the University of Sydney and completed the McKinsey Company ANZ executive leadership program back in 2020.
Head of capital markets - Australia and New Zealand, Luke Billiau, has revealed that alongside Pyke’s appointment, the firm “will continue to invest in our platform to ensure we can provide complete capital solutions to our clients, with the ability to leverage dominant sector experience”.
