A property industry veteran has been appointed to lead the brand’s Western Sydney office, reflecting the region’s ongoing growth.
Phill Rockliff will step into the position of partner with Knight Frank and head the firm’s Western Sydney branch.
Alongside this role, Rockcliff will also work in Knight Frank’s asset management services (AMS) team, focusing on servicing existing clients and cultivating new relationships to enhance the firm’s AMS presence in the region.
The new appointee brings over 25 years’ experience in the property industry, and has worked with some of Australia’s largest property groups, both on the agency and client sides.
Rockcliff previously held senior roles at Jones Lang LaSalle, Colliers, Valad, Toga, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, and most recently at Lendlease, where he worked as a senior investment manager for three-and-a-half years.
Knight Frank managing director for NSW & ACT, Paul Roberts, described Rockcliff’s appointment as “an exciting one for the firm, and would position Knight Frank well for the ongoing growth in Western Sydney”.
“Over a quarter of a century Phill has developed significant experience, expertise and relationships through working with many of the key players in property in both Australia and internationally,” he said.
“In providing strategic property advice, he has been particularly adept at identifying areas to maximise property returns and values through all stages of the property cycle,” Roberts added.
Rockcliff will reportedly guide the branch through a relocation and period of growth among the team, with Roberts expressing his confidence that he will capably shephard this transition and provide the “key Sydney office with many expansion opportunities”.
Rockliff expressed enthusiasm for his new role, sharing he is “looking forward to working at Knight Frank and growing the Western Sydney office”.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to grow a full service agency business in Greater Western Sydney via exemplary service to clients and strong support to our team,” he said.
Commenting on Western Sydney’s growth, Rockcliff highlighted the impact of infrastructure projects such as the upcoming Western Sydney International Airport, which he believes will “serve as a major transport hub, increasing accessibility and the region’s growth potential”.
This appointment has come as the latest in a series of additions for Knight Frank, with Dominic Long being named the brand’s new managing director in Victoria and Justin Bond taking on the role of Queensland partner and managing director.
