A global commercial property firm has announced the appointment of a new head of leasing advisory for Australia and New Zealand to drive growth across office, industrial, and logistics sectors.
JLL has appointed Tim O’Connor as the network's new head of leasing advisory for Australia and New Zealand.
O’Connor brings over three decades of commercial real estate experience across Australia and Asia, with more than a decade at JLL.
As part of his new role, O’Connor will lead transaction teams across the office, industrial, and logistics sectors in Australia and New Zealand, while continuing to serve on JLL’s global office leasing board.
JLL interim CEO Australia and New Zealand, Luke Billiau, said the Australian leasing advisory team had been boosted by a number of appointments, which would support O’Connor in his new role.
“These strategic leadership changes demonstrate our commitment to the Australia and New Zealand markets and our confidence in the exceptional talent within our organisation,” Billiau said.
“Tim’s expanded role, combined with these key appointments, strengthens our ability to serve clients across the region.”
Billiau said O’Connor’s appointment had positioned the firm for further growth.
O’Connor said his new role will focus on helping clients’ growth in a dynamic market landscape.
“In the face of evolving market and economic conditions, the opportunity to support both investors and occupiers across the office, industrial and logistics sectors is a challenge we embrace,” O’Connor said.
Following the appointment, acting head of leasing advisory Andrew Ballantyne will return to his role as managing director NSW and head of research Australasia.
