Cushman & Wakefield has bolstered its Queensland leadership team, appointing a new director to drive growth in one of the nation’s strongest commercial real estate markets.
The network announced that Ben McGrath was appointed as managing director, Brisbane, reinforcing its commitment to servicing South-East Queensland.
McGrath developed significant experience in the commercial sector, holding leadership roles with both Knight Frank and JLL.
Additionally, he spent five years based in China before eventually leading his own advisory and investment management business.
The network said that McGrath’s appointment would best prepare it to handle the momentum building in South-East Queensland’s commercial market.
Cushman & Wakefield chief executive, Australia, New Zealand and North Asia, Noral Wild, said that McGrath’s appointment was an important step in strengthening the network’s national leadership team.
“Queensland is one of Australia’s most dynamic commercial real estate markets and has been a longstanding focus within our national strategy,” Wild said.
“Ben’s extensive leadership and office investment market experience puts him in great stead to lead our Queensland business as we seek to expand our platform and create greater value for clients.”
McGrath said the network was well-positioned to help clients capitalise on the opportunities available in the market.
“The business has a talented local and national team and an enviable reputation as a global leader in commercial real estate,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to building on these foundations, strengthening our core agency business, and working closely with our clients and people to drive the next phase of growth for the Queensland business.”
