Living in the area and having an in-depth local knowledge is the cornerstone of Barry Plant Lilydale agent Ashely Hutson’s success, as he has nabbed a place in the top 10 in the REB Dealmakers 2018 ranking.
Mr Hutson lives locally with his wife, Rachel, and two sons, Jadon and Joel. He believes that his knowledge of the local area is a core component of his success.
Mr Hutson said that, particularly in a softening market, it is his dedication to working with his existing customer base that has resulted in repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals from customers who have been delighted with his sales results and innovation in marketing campaigns.
“It’s an honour to be included on such a list and recognised for doing a job I love,” Mr Hutson said.
“A great team effort is what supports individual results, and I’m grateful for the professional and dedicated sales team we have at Barry Plant Lilydale.”
Mr Hutson’s success in the industry started early.
In his first year at Barry Plant, he won Rookie of the Year. His sales performance has seen him inducted into the Barry Plant Diamond Club as well as the Awards for Excellence which recognises the company’s top 10 performers for sales and listings.
He said that he has now come full circle.
“With more than 15 years’ experience in the real estate industry, I am finding increasingly that I am coming full circle. Having been mentored and supported by experienced agents when I first joined Barry Plant at 18 years of age, I am now mentoring younger agents coming into the agency.”
