Publicly listed mortgage brokerage Mortgage Choice is looking to grow the business with the recruitment of an experienced real estate professional.
To help grow the business, Jerome Smith has been appointed as head of franchises and will be responsible for growing Mortgage Choice’s franchise network.
Mr Smith has spent the last five years in the real estate industry, with his most recent role being the senior network development manager and senior auctioneer with the LJ Hooker Corporation.
During his time at Ray White and LJ Hooker, Mr Smith expanded the brands into new Australian markets, hired 150 new salespeople and established 29 new offices.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Smith said he was excited to be joining an iconic Australian brand.
“Mortgage Choice is a pioneer in this industry and its brand name is synonymous with mortgage broking. I’ve always been passionate about helping people take their businesses to new levels of success, and I see Mortgage Choice as the perfect vehicle to achieve this,” he said.
Mr Smith pointed to a challenging time in the economy, making it more important than ever for the professional brand to help support clients.
“It is this consideration I hope to leverage to help ambitious entrepreneurs start their own Mortgage Choice business,” Mr Smith said.
