The Agency has onboarded a former banker and celebrated real estate agent to spearhead its move into Sydney’s coveted upper north shore market.
Former banker-turned-real estate agent Jason Roach has most recently been aligned with Century 21, but he said he was seeking “a premium, energetic brand that projects prosperity and success” for the next stage of his business expansion.
Mr Roach said The Agency “has vast experience in assisting agents with their business growth and also their market share, and growing market share is the priority for my business”.
With 20 years of banking experience under his belt, he has previously worked with The Agency’s CEO Matt Lahood in a financial capacity, stemming from his role as Westpac’s national head of real estate services.
“I’ve known Matt Lahood for more than 15 years and the team he has assembled was very appealing to be a part of,” Mr Roach commented.
He said the network’s unique model offers him “operational and network opportunities that are unhindered by the traditional franchise model”.
“Both my banking and real estate backgrounds helped me identify this model was the way forward.”
With Mr Roach’s focus being on the premium end of the upper north shore market, it’s an equally strategic move for The Agency, with a statement from the network considering the opening of The Agency Upper North Shore to “further expand the brand’s extensive referral system across its existing metro-based agents”.
According to The Agency, it means he will be well connected with the network’s existing premium agents across the eastern suburbs, inner west and lower north shore.
According to Mr Roach, he is “well placed to have high-quality conversations with my clients and develop detailed plans and strategies to assist with their sale goals”.
From Mr Lahood’s perspective, the onboarding of the heavyweight is a testament to what The Agency has built, as well as a vote of confidence in their non-franchise real estate model.
He praised Mr Roach as “an outstanding business person and agent, and operates to the highest standards”.
“I am honoured Jason will be representing and spearheading our operation on the upper north shore of Sydney,” the CEO commented.
