The Ponds may be one of Sydney’s newer suburbs, but it has just landed itself a new real estate service, courtesy of Starr Partners.
Gary Thind is the man behind the new agency, with the decision to expand to The Ponds made easier, thanks to key developments in and around the suburb.
Mr Thind, who also runs Starr Partners’ Bella Vista office, commented that “although it’s a relatively new suburb, The Ponds is part of the north-west growth area”.
“We have experienced major developmental progress in the areas of public transport, retail precincts, eateries and health facilities over the last five years,” he said, noting the opening of the Sydney Metro last year along the north-west line as key to improving accessibility of the area.
From the business owner’s perspective, the decision to expand operations seemed logical: “We’ve already gained significant traction with a number of high-profile results in that area.”
Before even cementing his presence in the area with a shopfront, Mr Thind had already sold more than 50 homes in the suburb in the past year alone.
Sydney’s Hills District is expected to grow by more than 100,000 people over the next two decades, with the agent anticipating an increasing number of young families to the region, “as major developments will inevitably see the area grow in popularity”.
“As Sydney continues to grow, I believe that traffic congestion, overcrowding and a lack of family time are motivating people to change their living arrangements according to their priorities,” he explained.
“The suburb’s proximity to shopping centres, public transport and several quality schools is another huge plus for this demographic.”
Weighing in on the new office’s opening, Starr Partners CEO Douglas Driscoll said that “having witnessed Gary’s success at the Bella Vista office, I believe that The Ponds will be a successful addition to our award-winning group, especially as the property market in Sydney’s north west is likely to continue to thrive”.
“I can’t wait to see Gary and his phenomenal team take their business to the next level,” he continued.
