Agency growth is on the agenda at Professionals Group Australia, with the naming of a new business development specialist to a Queensland role.
Matthew Shepherd has been revealed as the network’s new Queensland Business Development executive, adding to the national business development team and focusing on agency growth in the Sunshine State.
For Mr Shepherd, the new appointment comes after a stint as Property TV’s head of sales and partnerships, and follows corporate roles with Raine & Horne and Elders.
Having also previously worked as an agency principal, Mr Shepherd said his immediate goal will be to establish strong relationships with the group’s existing members while continuing to focus on agency growth.
He said: “It is a real pleasure to have joined [a] group that is growing strongly when other networks around Australia are seeing a decline.”
His appointment comes in the wake of five new office openings for the Professionals Group Australia in the past three months.
According to Professionals’ chief executive David Crombie, this growth during the real estate boom shows “the attractiveness” of the Professionals offering.
He said this growth comes “on the back of the level of service and support being offered to offices nationally”.
“Unlike other networks, the Professionals Group does not serve the financial interests of a master franchisor, but rather it operates to serve the interests of its offices,” he outlined.
