A national network has promoted its long-time network manager into a brand new role for the brand: national head of growth.

Raine & Horne has appointed Tina Ashton to the position, which will reportedly see her concentrate on attracting new offices, recruiting top agents and looking to capitalise on opportunities to acquire rival networks.

Angus Raine, executive chairman at Raine & Horne, has highlighted Ms Ashton’s appointment as coinciding with “massive growth” for the Group.

“With our network growing exponentially for the past five years, this appointment recognises Tina’s strategic contribution to our expansion, not just to our office growth but also to the internal development of our offices.”

He flagged that in Q4 2021 alone, Ms Ashton has been responsible for bringing 15 new offices on board with the brand. More are expected in early 2022.

Ms Ashton will be overseeing a team of six recruiters on a national level under her expanded portfolio. She has expressed her delight at the opportunity to steer the network’s strategic expansion.

Reflecting on her career to date, the national head of growth said: “I began my Raine & Horne career as a sales consultant with Andrew Tregent at Ettalong Beach on the NSW Central Coast in 2006 and progressed to Corporate in 2013 starting in Brisbane. This was a fantastic opportunity to lead a national strategy that will continue the incredible growth of the brand.”

Even with the growth plans, Ms Ashton has indicated she’ll “still be on the road” visiting established offices.

“I have had the privilege of working closely with award-winning Ric Serrao’s Double Bay/Bondi Beach office, our rapidly expanding Lower North Shore business led by Stuart Bourne, who I recruited four years ago and our powerful Newcastle network headed by Colin Bice which has settled an amazing 220 sales in 2021,” Ms Ashton said.

It’s her skill as a communicator and a quick judge of character that’s allowed Ms Ashton to excel, according to Andrew Brien, CEO of Raine & Horne.

“Tina’s approach to recruitment, whether it’s a new office, a star sales agent or property manager, is very strategic. She quickly weighs up genuine interest and then brings the suitable candidates across to our network without fuss,” Mr Brien said.

“In addition, our principals love Tina, and she’ll continue in her role as a Network Manager which will keep her hands-on with our offices, in that regard.”
