McGrath Estate Agents has expanded its reach in Metro Sydney by staking its claim in one of the area’s key markets.
On 25 February, McGrath Strathfield was launched with a grand opening event that attracted 500 attendees from among clients, colleagues, and members of the local community.
Headed by principals Tarun Sethi and Michael Murphy, the new office is located at 44 The Boulevarde in Strathfield, with a 15-strong staff and 230 properties under management.
Speaking at the launch event, McGrath’s chief executive officer, John McGrath, underlined the importance of establishing the brand’s presence in the key inner-west Sydney market.
“Strathfield is one of Sydney’s most important real estate markets, so it was imperative for us to have the best team in this marketplace,” he stated.
The executive cited data from Proptrack that highlighted Strathfield’s status as a thriving market. Over the past year, dwelling values in the area experienced a robust 13.2 per cent increase in median house prices, which currently stand at $3,655,000. Meanwhile, the median price for units is $680,000.
Mr McGrath also heralded the addition of Mr Sethi and Mr Murphy into their ranks. “You can imagine our excitement when the area’s leading agents chose to join our brand,” he continued.
Both born and bred in Strathfield, the two agents tout an impressive track record in the local marketplace.
Mr Murphy, who has a bachelor of business and commerce with a major in property, has operated in Strathfield’s real estate market for 14 years.
In line with pursuing a lifelong ambition, Mr Sethi ventured into the real estate industry in 2015 and later earned the distinction of being the top-performing agent in Strathfield.
Together, the pair have an average days-on-market tally of 30 against Strathfield’s median of 77 days. Additionally, their auction clearance rate sits at an impressive 90 per cent.
Aside from having a strong track record in sales, the pair has also garnered several distinctions in the field, with Mr Sethi and Mr Murphy rating highly in REB’s Top 100 Agents 2022, securing the 20th and 52nd spots, respectively.
“I’m confident that this office will cement its place in our top 10 offices in our group in the very near future. And it’s quite possible that Tarun will be one of Australia’s leading agents and Michael, one of our best managing directors,” Mr McGrath stated.
