Online portal followit has announced the appointment of a new sales executive as it looks to ramp up its operations in the Sydney real estate market.

The company revealed this week that Olivia Tague has been hired as followit’s new Sydney sales director.

Followit head of sales and brand Lisa Hutchinson welcomed Ms Tague to the team.

“She brings to the business exceptional experience across digital real estate platforms – online, mobile and print media within the Australian real estate industry,” Ms Hutchinson said.

“Olivia has been instrumental in launching many new innovative products to the market over the last ten years, having worked with News Corp and most recently at Fairfax Media.”

Followit co-founder Charles Baynie said among Ms Tague's first priorities will be rolling out the Sydney sales strategy, with an initial focus on the northern beaches and north shore.

“We see the appointment as the next step in achieving further market penetration with the Sydney market,” Mr Baynie said.

“Ms Tague has long-term relationships across the Sydney real estate market which will advance our already strong market position with industry leaders hailing followit as the future of real estate, connecting consumers with real estate.”

Ms Tague said she is excited to be joining followit and is looking forward to implementing a live communication platform that allows agents to deliver instant information – including price changes, contracts and open for inspection times – to their customers.

“With the experience I have developed in the market, I feel that this platform will deliver to the market a much needed consolidated approach across social and portal media,” she said.

“It’s a great time to be part of progressive technology that delivers to our clients and consumers exactly what they’ve requested.”
