One of Victoria’s biggest real estate brands has become the first industry franchise to launch a financial advice offering.
Recognising a gap in the traditional real estate offering for clients, Stockdale & Leggo has partnered with an independent financial advice firm focused on providing a holistic financial advice service to the employees and clients of the group.
The financial advice firm, S&L Financial Logic, which is powered by Paragon Wealth Solutions, provides a financial solution focusing on superannuation, strategic investment advice, finance, life, income protection, total and permanent disability and trauma insurance.
Stockdale & Leggo chief operating officer Anna Thomas said that while insurance isn’t the sexiest of offerings, when a family member’s life or health is at stake it becomes all-important, considering financial advice a natural extension to the traditional real estate offering to clients.
“There is a clear gap in the provision of advice that many of our clients need, and often ask us about, and we hope to fill that area by providing this end-to-end financial solution,” Ms Thomas said.
“Talking to an S&L Financial Logic adviser will help define our clients’ goals and provide guidance to map out their long-term financial success,” she said.
“This is largely driven by the need of our existing clients to guarantee that they have a level of protection in place to ensure their vast assets are protected should they suffer ill health, disability or death, as well as providing high-quality advice to them in the areas of superannuation, investment, insurance and retirement.”
Stockdale & Leggo will not be the provider of any advice; the process will be to offer the service to clients through their 75 franchises, and then for an S&L Financial Logic adviser to contact the client to carry out a review and provide a tailored solution.
S&L Financial Logic director Stephen Catterall believes that this is the next step for the industry and expects other to follow once they’ve seen the benefits experienced by Stockdale & Leggo clients.
“We are very conscious that this may be perceived as another property-spruiking enterprise, however this is not the case at all,” he said.
“The clients who will be offered this service will already be working with Stockdale & Leggo franchisees and are simply seeking to ensure they have the correct financial protection and future wealth strategies in place for their families and future.”
