McGrath Estate Agents has welcomed an “influential industry leader” into its network.

Ben Cannon has joined McGrath Bulimba, in Queensland, as one of its real estate agents, working alongside fellow property specialists Jade Loch and Gunther Behrendt.

Since commencing his career in real estate in 2003, Mr Cannon has been recognised for his sales performance, having won the Elite Performer Award in the Ray White Group, which McGrath said placed him in the top 2 per cent of high-performing agents nationally.

According to Mr Cannon, he joined the business as he wanted to align himself with a company that recognises the value of its people and their improvement.

“They are the market leaders in technology, marketing and employ the best in our industry to work for them. In my view, if you want to be the best, you have to be with the best,” he said.

In delivering on that vision, the company most recently created a customer management program designed to transform the way its customers deal with the company, delivering a meaningful and personalised interaction.

Mr Cannon added that his passion for real estate will bring a positive impact to the relationships he intends to build in the market.

“I genuinely love people and what I do. I enjoy seeing people transition through buying and selling homes and the excitement this can bring,” he said.

“I also enjoy helping clients manage the most important financial transaction most people will ever make and seeing their plans come together as they move or purchase an investment.”

McGrath Queensland state manager Justin Marsden said Mr Cannon is joining the business with “incomparable experience and has an exceptional track record” for sales in the area.

“He will be an asset to the team servicing the south side of Brisbane from Bulimba to Mount Gravatt,” Mr Marsden said.

“Ben has had a commanding year in the south side of Brisbane selling at least one home every week for the past 12 months.”

McGrath Estate Agents has also seen a number of new and returning staff.

In April, one of its “brightest young stars” rejoined the company at its Crows Nest office in Sydney, having left seven months ago.

In Melbourne, it appointed Karl Secondis to the newly created position of state manager for Victoria and opened a new office in Greensborough, led by joint principals Ben Flannagan and his father, Brent Flannagan.
