Despite the talk of rental law changes in Queensland, a property management team have had a strong start to the year with a drastic increase in rental demand.

One month into 2020, Coronis has had a 41 per cent month-on-month increase in rental interest across South East Queensland.

The agency took more than 12,000 inquiries last month, showed nearly 4,000 people through open homes, received 1,950 applications and found tenants for 314 landlords.

“January is known to be the busiest month of the year for rental properties as tenants relocate due to a new job, university or because they’ve moved to a new city,” Coronis property management director Jodi Ford said.

“I couldn’t be prouder of the team and the way they managed the increased volume throughout January.

“Every person on our team has demonstrated a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done, grit and determination, which really is [a] testament to them and our leadership team.”

Ms Ford puts this down to her team who have a comprehensive understanding of the market, while demonstrating effective communication which has delivered high satisfaction.

“Our current Net Promoter Score (NPS), which measures customer satisfaction on a scale from -100 to +100, currently sits at +48, which, compared to the industry average of -6, is simply outstanding, especially following such a busy period,” she said.

While Coronis has dealt with many prospective renters over the last month, they have also increased their portfolio of properties with 105 new clients on its books.

“It’s great to see so many new investors choosing Coronis to manage their investment so they can access our technology and systems and be looked after by one of the best teams in the industry.

“I look forward to working with our new landlords over the coming year and ensuring they’re making the most out of their investment strategy.”
