Second-generation Ray White family members and owners of two Perth businesses have bolstered their local presence with the unveiling of a new office.

David and Diem Whiteman have just expanded to nearby Morley, located in Perth’s inner east.

“Our family actually owned the Ray White Morley office back in the ’90s and I actually grew up here, so we are absolutely thrilled to be back,” Mr Whiteman said.

“We have been in partnership with the White family for a long time and have a really good relationship with them. We find the entire corporate team incredibly helpful.”

According to a statement provided by the network, the Whiteman family business started in the 1970s by David’s parents, Ross and Ann Whiteman.

The Whitemans grew up around real estate, so they say it was a natural profession to join the industry. David and Diem Whiteman have run the Mirrabooka office since 1995, while David’s brother, Mark Whiteman, is the CEO of Ray White Western Australia as part of the franchisor team.

Mr Whiteman said that being with a group as strong as Ray White was integral during an uncertain period of time like this.

“Other groups of business owners that I speak to are just lost in terms of what is going on in the world at the moment. At Ray White, we have had a constant stream of information on how to deal with and best tackle the current situation,” he said.

“I cannot see how any other group could replicate the level of professionalism and development that Ray White offers.

“While many businesses are consolidating and contracting, we’ve taken great confidence from being part of the Ray White group and see the current environment as a great time to grow.”

The new Ray White Morley office is located 15km east of the Perth CBD and neighbours their Mirrabooka business. The region is a popular area for families and has a wide variety of housing in all price brackets, Ray White said.

“The major drawcard of this area is its convenience — it is in close proximity to the CBD, the beach and the airport,” Mr Whiteman said.

“It is also a really vibrant entertainment precinct with pubs, restaurants, cafés and a major Westfield shopping centre.

“Our major focus is on customer satisfaction. We are really striving to deliver the best experience to buyers and sellers, investors and tenants, and we believe our growth will come from that.”

Mark Whiteman, CEO of Ray White Western Australia, congratulated his younger brother and sister-in-law on their expansion.

“Naturally, I am incredibly proud of what they have achieved, and to be expanding in these challenging times says a lot about them as leaders and their resilience over a long period of time,” Mark Whiteman said.

“We are really excited about where they can take the Ray White brand in the area.”
