REB has launched its Top 50 Agents and is inviting submissions from professionals across five states.

In 2021, REB introduced five new state-based rankings from real estate professionals working across NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, and South Australia.

Now in its second year, REB, in partnership with Realtair, will be recognising the Top 50 Agents operating in those five states.

The REB Top 50 Agents is an initiative that recognises that real estate requires a local approach as no two markets can be identical. It is an opportunity to recognise those agents who have established a benchmark for residential real estate sales success while setting strong professional performance standards across the different states.

As the property market continues to perform strongly and buyer demand remains high, the ranking is aimed at empowering more agents to win more listings.

To calculate the rankings, agents will be asked to submit figures from their settled residential sales across 2021. They will be ranked according to specific metrics, including the number of properties sold, the total dollar volume of properties sold, and average sale price across a 12-month period.

Each ranking will be based on figures for the 2021 calendar year, and agents will be asked to submit figures from their settled residential sales.

Each agent is ranked comparatively across these three metrics, with the combined comparative score used to determine the top-ranked agents in the country.

The agents who are successful will be recognised for their outstanding achievements and contribution to the industry.

Commenting on its partnership with the state-based rankings, Peter Matthews, chief executive of Realtair, said: “Realtair is proud to support the REB Top 50 Agents across NSW, Vic, Qld, WA and SA.

“REB acknowledges that real estate does require a local approach – and no two markets are the same. We are thrilled to be a part of an initiative that shines a light on the dedication of agents across each Australian state.”

According to REB news editor Grace Ormsby, the new state-based Top 50 Agents rankings have returned for a second year by popular demand in 2022, based on the positive feedback REB received last year.

“These Top 50 rankings provide us with a unique opportunity to zoom down onto a state level and acknowledge the hard work and dedication being shown by high-performing agents across Australia,” she said.

“If you are – or know – an agent who’s had a huge 2021 – put them forward!”

Oliver Stofka, research strategist for REB’s research arm Momentum Intelligence, said: “The state-based Top 50 Agents is the ranking to showcase the best-performing agents in their respective markets who know their market like no other and thrive in their respective state.

“It is a chance for agents to show their achievements despite a challenging 2021.”

Submissions close on Friday, 4 March 2022 COB.
