The real estate giant has recruited a top Coomera Waters agent to its Property Hub team on the Gold Coast.

LJ Hooker has hired Currumbin local Colleen Brunt to work at the LJ Hooker Property Hub, with her primary focus being lifestyle estates within the Gold Coast hinterland.

Inspired to study for a real estate certificate after a bad real estate experience left her wanting a greater understanding of the industry, the luxury acreage specialist brings her six years of experience at a high-end Gold Coast boutique agency to the bustling LJ Hooker office.

After years of actively attempting to recruit Ms Brunt, real estate group director for LJ Hooker Property Hub David Manby described the appointment as a “coup” for the brand, and he believes her skills and expertise will prove invaluable for the brand at a time where demand for lifestyle acreage increases in the Gold Coast region.

“At LJ Hooker Property Hub is like a big family, we care about our clients and we get great results – and we thought she would be the perfect person to join our team. And while it has taken a little while, we are delighted that Colleen has made the move to the network,” Mr Manby said.

“Colleen is such a bubbly, friendly and warm person and for someone who does high volume of sales – in excess of $65 million in turnover – she never comes across as anything but approachable.”

Stephen Mutton, LJ Hooker’s head of network performance, welcomed Ms Brunt and the years of experience she will bring to the brand.

“This is a growing and important sector of the Gold Coast property market and Colleen’s appointment will further strengthen LJ Hooker Property Hub’s position within the region,” he said.

“Experienced agents are recognising the benefits of joining Australia’s best known and trusted real estate brand with an established 94-year-history.”

Ms Brunt expressed her pride in joining the team at LJ Hooker, with the move coming at the perfect time – after reflecting on her career trajectory since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided she was ready for a new challenge.

The agent will focus on the acreages in the Currumbin Valley and Tallebudgera region that are popular with interstate buyers due to their proximity to the beach, Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta Airport. The region poses Ms Brunt with properties that she says “are not your everyday norm”.

It’s a segment that she says particularly suits her method of operating.

“I am very creative – definitely not your cookie cutter real estate, I am a little bit out of the box in the way I approach things and that has worked for me. With every new listing, I’ll take my time to walk around the property and really get a sense of what will appeal to buyers and how best to present it to the market.”
