The Agency has added another sales specialist to its roster in Victoria, welcoming Tracy Tian Belcher to the fold.

Operating in Melbourne’s Bayside, Ms Tian Belcher reports notching $300 million in sales in the last four years alone.

Though she brings impressive international credentials to her current career, having worked across the corporate sectors in China, Australia and the US, Ms Belcher has been a Bayside local for the past 25 years.

It’s this understanding of overseas buyer needs, coupled with her deep knowledge of the area, that the agent credits with allowing her to fill a particular niche in the area.

Speaking several languages, including Mandarin Chinese, she estimates that 30 to 40 per cent of her clientele are Chinese – vendors and buyers combined.

“My Chinese clients coming from overseas move to Australia and are generally told by friends to buy in certain suburbs. They love the proximity of Bayside to good schools and the city, and being in a safe community with a beautiful lifestyle close to the water,” she said of the area’s appeal to that sector of buyers.

“Similarly, I have Chinese clients moving to Brighton from other suburbs because of the good schools and lifestyle choice,” she said.

Peter Kakos, the network’s general manager of Victoria, noted Ms Tian Belcher’s ability to work across segments and serve a range of needs.

“Extremely well connected, Tracy brings the same acute attention to detail to her $10 million listings as she does to a $1 million listing, resulting in supreme experience for her clients. She creates trust with her overseas and local clients with her demonstrated transparency, keen negotiating skills and encyclopaedic knowledge of the market and sales,” Mr Kakos said.

“I’m proud to welcome Tracy to The Agency Victoria team, she has built a legion of happy vendors and buyers thanks to her intelligence, knowledge and her professional yet friendly approach.”

Ms Tian Belcher echoed Mr Kakos’ delight in pairing with the brand.

“I resonate with The Agency’s principle of putting the clients first and offering the best in technology, cutting edge marketing and flexibility. This is especially valuable to my high net worth clients.

“Another big factor in my decision to join The Agency is the freedom to sell in all geographical areas. My clients include first-home buyers, local Melburnians interested in upscaling and high-budget overseas buyers. Being able to offer properties across the city is a valuable competitive advantage,” she said.

The Agency’s chief executive Matt Lahood noted the point of difference that Ms Tian Belcher would bring to the company’s operations.

“Tracy Tian Belcher’s contacts and links to the Chinese market are unparalleled. This is especially important during a time when foreign buyers and investors are eager to enter the Australian property market,” Mr Lahood said.

“We are seeing strong interest and buyer inquiry from overseas buyers and ex-pats particularly in the upper end of the market, who see Australia as a safe and strong economy where the pandemic has been well-managed. Tracy is an incredible asset to our team and I look forward to supporting her continued success with The Agency.”
