The acquisition of a Springwood agency has birthed the latest PRD network outpost.
PRD Blue Mountains will be joining the network under the Penrith office’s umbrella thanks to the acquisition of a local agency, Boyd’s Realty.
PRD Blue Mountains will be based out of Springwood, approximately 20 kilometres from PRD Penrith’s Lawson street office. The venture has been heralded by PRD Penrith’s principal, Daniel Latty, as an exciting development for both businesses.
Mr Latty celebrated the work undertaken by Boyd’s Realty team over the course of the last few years before adding his desire to continue this momentum through the implementation of new systems and procedures under the PRD banner.
The move builds on previous family ties between the two outfits, with Boyd’s Realty owner and principal, Angela Murphy, a cousin of Angelina Latty, a member of the PRD Penrith residential sales team.
Ms Murphy indicated the pair’s approach to customer service was established during their previous tenures in the hospitality industry through their formative years, before sharing that the Blue Mountains’ team was “excited [to] be working with the PRD team.”
Building on the excitement surrounding the expansion, Ms Latty explained, “It’s these shared values of family and caring which make us excited to be working together in the Blue Mountains.”
Home to nearly 80,000 residents and covering 100 kilometres of mountainous terrain, the Blue Mountains region is home to several different towns, notably Katoomba, where approximately 10 per cent of the local population resides.
Median home values in Katoomba currently sit at $850,000, up 8.8 per cent over the last 12 months, with landlords now asking a median weekly rent of $520 for homes and $390 for units.
PRD Blue Mountains will offer a range of services, including residential and commercial sales and leasing, project marketing, property management, and property research.
