A former network performance manager for LJ Hooker’s commercial arm has been appointed into the role.
Tom Donnelly, a commercial property specialist with over two decades of industry experience, assumes the role of LJ Hooker’s head of commercial. His aim will be to lead the brand’s growth and network offering across the country.
According to LJ Hooker Group chief executive officer Christine Mikhael, Mr Donnelly considers the move as a “homecoming”, given he began his property career at the brand.
“He’s returned with the same enthusiasm as when he first joined the LJ Hooker Group, but with the experience and leadership skills gained from more than 20 years in pivotal roles,” she noted.
Ms Mikhael added: “Tom’s insights, appreciation of the needs of business owners, and connections will be a great asset to our network, many of whom he has established relationships with.”
Having serviced small business owners through the government agencies, the network’s new head of commercial heralded the team’s exceptional client relationships and the subsequent impacts it has on its growth.
“LJ Hooker Commercial specialists have built trust with their clients and, in turn, market share because of their expertise and connections,” he said.
“Commercial real estate, and the industry in general, continues to change,” he said.
He expressed a core part of his new role as remaining “committed to LJ Hooker Commercial setting the pace in the evolution of client service and growth”.
Network general manager Stephen Mutton noted Mr Donnelly’s experience as an agency director means “he understands the contemporary business landscape that our franchises are operating in”.
Mr Mutton believes LJ Hooker’s new head of commercial’s influence will cover many areas of the network’s operations, including, but not exclusively, talent acquisition.
He described how Mr Donnelly will “also be supporting our existing business owners to enhance their productivity and profitability, leveraging the tools and support to service the needs of their clients”.
“I know his specialisation in asset management will be of tremendous value to the network,” he added.
Ms Mikhael concluded: “With Tom as head of commercial, we’re extremely excited for the future of LJ Hooker Commercial.”
