The “best operators in Lennox Head” have joined forces with national powerhouse McGrath.

After 30 years with a rival brand, McGrath Northern Rivers Group has taken over Elders Lennox Head. The agency’s three principals – Nick Bordin, Toni Trease and Jake King – will stay at the helm, and all three are now shareholders in McGrath Northern Rivers.

It’s a decision that was spurred by a commitment to “quality, service, clients and community”, stated Mr Bordin.

He explained: “We collectively decided to no longer compete but to collaborate and complement each other for the benefit of our clients.”

Mr Bordin himself had previously worked for McGrath while living in Sydney’s east, and had also worked alongside David Mills, now director of McGrath Northern Rivers, earlier in his career.

“The brand itself is clean, trusted and progressive,” said Mr Bordin. “We are extremely excited about the streamlining and efficiencies already in place within the McGrath operations and how that can benefit our customers.”

Mr Mills returned the sentiment, sharing that he’s excited to partner with “the best operators in Lennox Head” and work with Mr Bordin once again.

“They have deep connections to their local community and our values are very much aligned,” stated Mr Mills.

“As the real estate landscape continues to shift, it is important to have a consistency of experience. This merger enables one agency to service the entire area for buying, selling, renting, and ease the property journey for all levels.”

Consistency will be particularly important amidst the substantial shifts that the Lennox Head property market is currently undergoing.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, urban buyers began to relocate to regional areas, and Mr Bordin observed that this trend is still going strong in the local Lennox Head market.

He revealed: “We are seeing a migration trend of empty nesters from Sydney’s northern suburbs who are seeking the beachside lifestyle and are attracted by the accessibility and affordability available in Lennox Head.”

Young families from busy local towns are also increasingly flocking to the coast in search of a quieter lifestyle, attracted by Lennox Head’s proximity to essential services, healthcare, transport and schools.

“Buyers are excited not only by the lifestyle but by what the area offers in terms of infrastructure,” said Mr Bordin.

With the Lennox Head population forecast to rise 26 per cent by 2036, McGrath Lennox Head is well-positioned to serve the community's future needs.

McGrath CEO John McGrath said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Nick back to our brand and see him join forces with our brilliant north coast team.”
