Leanne Pilkington will continue to lead the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) as president in 2025.

She will be supported in her work by CEO Scott Rollason, who officially stepped into the role this month after the departure of Anna Neelagama earlier in the year.

Hannah Gill will return in her role as deputy president, while Cain Cooke will serve as chair of the organisation’s finance, risk and audit committee.

In addition to the directorial team, each state and territory is represented by an office bearer, and the board also includes an additional director. For 2025, those roles will be filled by the following individuals:

  • Cain Cooke, SA
  • Carol Need, NT
  • Hannah Gill, ACT
  • Jacob Cain, VIC
  • Michael Walsh, TAS
  • Suzanne Brown, WA
  • Thomas McGlynn, NSW
  • Andrew Bell, additional director

Speaking about her hope for the year ahead, Pilkington expressed her enthusiasm for the team that will support the REIA’s work.

“As we step into 2025, I am excited to collaborate with this exceptional board to address ongoing challenges, seize emerging opportunities, and continue advocating for our industry and consumers alike,” she said

Pilkington noted that the previous year had presented challenges for the industry, but commended its professionals for their “remarkable resilience”.

The 2025 team will be charged with “working towards a vibrant, sustainable property sector”, according to Pilkington.

“With this renewed leadership, REIA remains committed to representing the interests of Australia’s real estate industry at the highest level,” she added.
