The long-established agency of Galaxy Real Estate in Bundaberg has joined the national Raine & Horne network in the Wide Bay region amid market surge in the Queensland property sector.

Led by experienced principal Rebecca Beer, Galaxy Real Estate has operated in Bundaberg South for 26 years and was acquired by Beer in 2022.

Now operating as Raine & Horne Bundaberg, the agency will expand its services to include rural and farm sales under the Raine & Horne Rural brand, in addition to its residential sales and property management operations.

“This will allow us to leverage the strength of the Raine & Horne Rural brand while continuing to serve our clients in the rural, farm, and business sales sectors,” Beer said.

“Our goal is to ensure seamless integration of services under the Raine & Horne name, providing the same high level of service and expertise our clients have come to expect since 1999.”

As part of the transition, the office will relocate to a modern facility in Bundaberg South.

“My motivation for rebranding Galaxy to Raine & Horne is to enhance our service for clients and staff by leveraging the best resources and technology available, including industry-first tools such as the social media marketing platform Amplify,” Beer said.

“This rebranding provides opportunities for my team and me to grow and ensure long-term sustainability, all while maintaining the down-to-earth customer service we are known for.”

Beer said that the timing of the merger will position the office to capitalise on Bundaberg’s booming market, which has seen house prices increase by 9.5 per cent in Bundaberg East and 18.1 per cent in Bundaberg North this year.

“The area’s lifestyle appeal, affordable property prices, and strong rental yields make it an attractive destination for owner-occupiers and investors,” Beer said.

“New infrastructure investments and community facilities are also contributing to the region’s growth.”

Raine & Horne executive chairman, Angus Raine, welcomed the addition of Beer to the group.

“Rebecca’s deep community knowledge and real estate experience are complemented by strong business connections in the real estate and construction sectors across the Wide Bay Region,” Raine said.

“She is Bundaberg through and through, having lived in the region for 35 years and having built an impressive real estate career since 2003 and immersing herself in the local community.”

Beer’s community involvement includes serving on the Bundaberg Business Women’s Network and participating in local sporting clubs, reinforcing her business connections across the Wide Bay Region.

Beer said that Raine & Horne’s 142-year legacy and its emphasis on innovative technology significantly influenced her decision to rebrand.

“Our move will enhance our brand recognition in Bundaberg and provide us access to valuable resources, marketing tools, and a broader network,” Beer said.

“By aligning with a well-established name like Raine & Horne, we can better serve our clients and strengthen our position in the Bundaberg market.”
